Man accused of stealing gun from parked car

MADISON, Wis. — A 23-year-old man is facing charges after stealing a gun Thursday from a parked car on Madison’s west side, police said.
Madison police said a man with a concealed carry license had parked his car at the BP gas station on South Gammon Road at 4:38 p.m.
The gun owner told police he saw an acquaintance, Shaquielle O. Boone, of Madison, take the weapon from his car.
Police stopped Boone on Barton Road and took him into custody.
Boone faces tentative charges including theft of firearm from vehicle and possession of firearm by felon, police said.
The gun wasn’t recovered as of Friday morning, police said.
