Man Accused Of Recall Petition Fraud Out On Bond

The man accused of tampering with recall petitions is out on bond on Tuesday night.

Mark Demet faces nine felony charges and 49 years in prison if convicted of tampering with recall petitions against state Sen. Van Wangaard, R-Racine.

Investigators said the Racine man signed his mother’s and several neighbors’ names without permission on recall petitions.

Demet will return to court in a couple of weeks.
