Man accused of punching officer in the face
MADISON, Wis. — A man is facing charges after he punched an officer Thursday night, police said.
Madison police said an officer was checking the welfare of a man who was reported unconscious on Madison’s east side at about 8:30 p.m.
The officer responded to Demetral Field on North Sixth Street and approached the man, later identified as 23-year-old Justin A. Harlow.
As she approached, Harlow took off running, then turned around and attacked the officer, hitting her in the face, police said. Madison Fire Department paramedics treated her injuries, and Harlow was taken to jail.
He’s facing a charge of battery to a law enforcement officer and resisting police.
According to the report, Harlow is homeless.
