Mallards win third straight, 4-3 over Wisconsin

Mallards end first half with loss in La Crosse

The Madison Mallards won their third straight game to start the Northwoods League season in a 4-3 victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks at Warner Park Thursday night.

Five Mallards pitchers allowed just four hits. Tyler Frohwirth who pitched the seventh inning was credited with the win. Mike Kaelin picked up the save.

Brian Rodemoyer’s single drove in Anthony Gonsolin with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie.

The Mallards (3-0) play their first road game of the season Friday night when they travel to Wausau to face the Woodchucks (0-2) at Athletic Park.
