Mallards sweep Growlers, 6-3
Marabell, Barr, Butler drive in two each

MADISON — The Madison Mallards swept the Kalamazoo Growlers to start the second half of the Northwoods League season with a 6-3 win at Warner Park Thursday night.
Connor Marabell, Austin Barr and Tony Butler each drove in two runs as the Mallards scored four in the fourth and two more in the seventh.
Barr started the scoring with a two-run homer and Marabell added a two-run single in the fourth to give the Mallards a 4-3 lead.
In the seventh, Butler drove in Tyler Allen and Alex Bacon with a single.
Mallards starter Tyler Buffett pitched five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with four walks and three strikeouts to pick up the win.
Tim Black pitched the final one and two-thirds innings for the save.
The Mallards are now 2-0 in the second half of the Northwoods League season and will host the Battle Creek Bombers at Warner Park at 3:05 pm Friday.
