Mallards drop first game of 2015
The Madison Mallards lost their first game of the 2015 Northwoods League season Monday afternoon, 1-0 to the Lakeshore Chinooks.
Greg Deichmann’s single in the fourth inning drove in Jake Romano with the only run of the game.
Westin Weuthrich allowed only five hits and one run in five-and-a-third innings to take a tough loss.
J.J. Gould led the Mallards offense with two hits in four at bats.
The Mallards (5-1) face the Chinooks (4-3) in the final game of their series Tuesday night in Mequon.
