Mae Wildt

Mae Wildt, 81, died on February 23, 2016. She was born to Emil and Margaret Kebbekus in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Bayview High School in Milwaukee. She married the love of her life, Wayne Wildt, on November 9, 1957. She retired as a medical secretary from the University of Wisconsin Ophthalmology Department, which she enjoyed very much. She was a past Girl Scout leader, member of the Red Hatters, and several homemaker and church circle groups. Mae enjoyed quilting, campfires, and her many pets over the years. She also loved attending her grandchildren’s school functions and sporting events, as well as spending time with many of her lifelong friends. She appreciated nature and living in the log home she and Wayne built in Mazomanie. Mae enjoyed traveling and dropping a few coins in the local casinos, as well as watching the Green Bay Packers.

She is survived by a sister Hazel Zacher, a sister- in- law and brother- in- law Kathleen and Andy Carli and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her daughters Lisa Batz, and Karen (Bob) Duhr, and her grandsons Tanner Batz, Hayden Batz, and Bryce Duhr and her granddaughter Sydnee Duhr. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne Wildt on June 6, 2015.

Thank you mom for taking such great care of dad while he was sick, he must have your log home ready for you in heaven.

Per Mae’s wishes there will be no service. Donations to any animal charity or Hospice Care in Mae’s name are greatly appreciated. Our deepest thanks and gratitude to all the staff at Hospice House in Baraboo for making Mom’s final days comfortable, you truly are angels on Earth.
