MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are searching for a possible suspect after witnesses reported hearing shots Wednesday night.

Officers say around 7:15, two cars stopped near the 2100 block of Winnebago Street.

Witnesses told police people got out of their cars and started fighting when a man fired three shots.

Police found shell casings at the scene and the situation is still under investigation.
