Madison police investigate homicide near Cottage Grove Road

MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Police Department is investigating a homicide Monday night near Cottage Grove Road.

Police said it happened around 6:44 p.m. on the 4600 block of Martha Lane.

Officers found a 20-year-old with gunshot wounds at the scene. He later died at the hospital.

Police said the shooting was targeted.
