Madison police investigate counterfeit $100 bill
Manager: Bill was an obvious fake
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are looking for a woman after a store manager reported the passing of a counterfeit $100 bill.
Police said the manager of the Walgreens at 311 East Campus Mall contacted them July 30 after discovering the bill. Surveillance video shows a woman passing the bill around 2:24 p.m. on July 30.
The manager said the bill was passed to a new clerk and was an obvious fake.
The woman is described as Asian, 18-25 years old, wearing a black shirt and carrying a backpack.
