Madison police investigate after glass door likely shattered by gunshot

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after they said the glass door of an apartment near Elver Park was shattered, likely by gunshots.

Officers were sent to the apartment complex in the 1900 block of Brittany Place just after midnight Thursday after multiple people reported hearing shots fired. No property damage or shell casings were found.

Around 9 a.m. on Thursday, a woman from the same complex reported that her glass patio door had been shattered. Police said that the woman reported hearing shots the night before, but didn’t notice the broken door until she woke up.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
