Madison police find shell casings after reports of gunshots

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after a 911 caller reported hearing multiple gunshots on the city’s southwest side Monday night.

Officers were sent to the 7200 block of Midtown Road at around 10:20 p.m. The caller said they saw a vehicle leave the area.

Police said multiple shell casings were found at the scene, but no signs of property damage were found. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

An investigation is ongoing.
