Madison mayor says she has tested positive for COVID-19
MADISON, Wis. — Madison mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway says she has tested positive for COVID-19.
The mayor made the announcement in a tweet Thursday morning, saying she is only experiencing mild symptoms and is up-to-date on vaccinations and boosters.
Rhodes-Conway’s positive diagnosis comes a couple of weeks after Dane County Executive Joe Parisi said he tested positive, hours before a planned press conference addressing the COVID-19 situation in the county on May 20. Parisi also said he was experiencing mild symptoms at the time.
The mayor’s positive test comes as Dane County saw 311 positive tests in the last day, but is experiencing declining case counts in the past two weeks.
