Madison man on motorcycle injured in US 151 crash

A man has serious injuries after being struck while riding a motorcycle on US 151 in the Township of Calamus Friday, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

The 44-year-old Madison man was heading southbound on US 151 at about 1:30 p.m. when a 24-year-old Pardeeville man driving a van entered the highway from CTH DE, striking the motorcycle, said the sheriff.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the operator of the motorcycle was the sole occupant. He sustained serious injuries, and Med Flight transported him from the scene to UW Hospital in Madison. The driver of the van was not injured.

The southbound lane of US 151 was closed briefly because of the crash, according to the sheriff. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
