Madison man arrested in connection with gas station shooting, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man has been arrested in connection with a shooting Monday afternoon at a gas station , according to a release.
Eric C. Howard, 37, was arrested Monday immediately after a shooting around 2:15 p.m. at Capitol Petro Mart, police said.

A 34-year-old man was shot inside the gas station, according to a release. He was taken to a hospital and is listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound.
Detectives said the shooting was not a random act, but they are continuing to investigate the motive behind it.
Howard faces a tentative charge of first-degree reckless endangering safety.
