Madison College locked down as police look for man who waved gun

Madison College was locked down Wednesday night as police looked for a man who waved a handgun at another driver near the east side campus, according to a release from Madison police.
A 29-year-old Lodi man said he was stopped behind a dark SUV at the intersection of Wright and Anderson streets around 6 p.m. when the driver of the SUV got out and walked toward his vehicle, police said.
The driver of the SUV displayed his middle finger and waved a handgun, according to the release.
The Lodi man locked his car and waited until the driver of the SUV left the area, police said. Officers searched the area but did not find the vehicle or the driver.
The driver of the SUV is described as white, in his mid-20s, and was clean shaven. He was wearing a white knit sweater, and was driving a dark SUV with Wisconsin license plates.
