Madison College Foundation announces new CEO

The Madison College Foundation announced Monday Tammy Thayer has been chosen to be the new CEO of the college’s fundraising division.
Thayer had been serving as the foundation’s interim head for five months, according to a release.
Before joining the Madison College Foundation, Thayer served as vice president and president for the Center of Advanced Studies in Business, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the Wisconsin School of Business that owns and operates the Fluno Center, according to the release.
Thayer is a Madison native and graduated from Madison College, UW-Madison and Boston University, according to the release.
According to the release, Thayer is adept at building cooperative partnerships between public and private enterprises, and educational institutions.
Her international experience has heightened her appreciation of the importance of multicultural diversity, according to the release.
“In a fast-paced, global society that is knit together by technology, it is imperative that we understand other cultures and points of view so we can equip our students for a lifetime of success,” Thayer said in the release. “Madison College had earned a national reputation for the quality of its programs and I am privileged to build philanthropic support to preserve this legacy.”
