Madison Boys & Girls Club begins trip to Texas
MADISON, Wis. — Members of Madison’s Boys and Girls Club are on their way to Texas to deliver much needed donations to areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
The group is traveling with six semi-trucks with over $300,000 worth of supplies donated from people in Madison as well as Chicago.
During the first day of travel, one semi was stopped at a check point for being overweight by 17,000 pounds of donations.
The group hoped to reach Texas by Saturday.
