MADISON – Lucille M. Mandt, daughter of Einar and Johanna Olson, passed away on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at the age of 90. She was born in Stoughton on March 29, 1932.

Lucille married Thomas O. Mandt on Sept. 11, 1948. She was an excellent cook, loved to bake and can tomatoes and pickles from her garden. She was well known for her lefse. Lucille worked at Oscar Mayer for over 30 years and was also an active member in the church.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Byron) Osterlie; three grandsons, Scott in Wisconsin, David (Molly) in West Virginia and Owen in Pennsylvania; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Shaul; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brother-in-law, William Mandt in Texas; and sister-in-law, Alice Knapton in Sun Prairie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and four brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at ST. PAUL’S LIBERTY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3494 Oak Park Road, Deerfield, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, with the Rev. Holly Slater presiding. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
