Lorina M. “Blondie” Buechner

Lorina M. “Blondie” Buechner, age 89 died on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Sunny Hill Healthcare Center. She was born on August 22, 1922 at home in the Town of Springfield, WI, the daughter of Carl and Catherine (Hellenbrand) Buechner.
She was once the owner of the Coffee Club and then went on to work at Rundell’s Menswear until her retirement. Blondie was a member of Cathedral Parish, Madison.
She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, and Bingo. Blondie also volunteered at Meriter Healthcare Center (now Capital Lakes).
She is survived by her sisters, Sr. Mary Buechner of Milwaukee, Dolores Ripp of Waunakee, and Rosetta Johnson of University Place, WA; brothers, Andrew of Cross Plains and Charles (Louise) of Waunakee; in-laws: Edith Buechner of Waunakee, Elaine Buechner of Cross Plains, Gil Stephan of Argonne, WI, and Bill Plendl of Waunakee; 8 godchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Joseph; brothers, Florian and Tony; sisters, Cyrilla Stephan, Elizabeth Plendl; in-laws, Jerome Ripp, Ken Johnson and Adella Buechner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Martinsville, WI with Father Brian Dulli officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. and also from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Sunny Hill for the wonderful care given to Blondie over the past 18 months.
