Looking for new music? Madison festival highlights community musicians

MADISON, Wis. — If you’re looking for some music this weekend, a downtown Madison festival has you covered.
The annual Madison new music festival kicks off tonight at the art museum.
Since 2016, it’s brought together musicians from around the community to premiere new music never heard before.
This weekend you can catch musicians around the city at several different venues like the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and area churches.
Organizers said the festival has become an important part in the music community.
“It really feels like it’s something the Madison community wants and needs, to be able to celebrate this music,” founder of the Madison New Music Festival, Zachary Green, said.
The festival ends on Sunday.
