Lois Jean McCutchin

Lois J. McCutchin, age 77 of Baraboo, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, Wisconsin with Peter Kingslow officiating. Visitation will be held at funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 4:00 P.M.

Lois was born March 3, 1935 in Burlington, Wisconsin the daughter of Henry and Veleska (Bender) VanBuskirk. Lois went to Wisconsin Dells High School and enjoyed being prom queen. Lois loved to help all she could and greatly enjoyed the outdoors. She spent many years farming and gardening and tending to all sorts of animals. Lois worked many years at the Oasis in Lake Delton and was famous for her homemade pies. She was an honest, straight forward, funny and spunky little lady whose body just wore out. Lois was loved by many and loved many in return. She had a special fondness for her grandchildren along with a great love of all animals. She could never turn away a stray dog, cat or even a Clydesdale. Lois was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She took great pride in teaching her grandchildren the finer things in life, like jumping in mud puddles and splashing in the pool. Lois attended the Baraboo Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had many dear friends there. Lois was loved and adored by many and is greatly missed.

Lois is survived by her husband, K.I. “Mac” McCutchin; brother, Robert VanBuskirk; sons, Andrew (Sherry) Cole and Carmon Cole; step-sons, Scott (Toni) McCutchin and K.I. “Skip” (Mary Ellen) McCutchin; step-daughters, Terri (Weinke) Neuman, Vicky Weinke and Lori Weinke; grandchildren; Laura (Ryan) Hulleman, Melissa (Victor) Courchane, Katelyn (Troy) Lenerz, Jonathan Cole, Daniel Kontowski, Mary Kontowski, Brett McCutchin and Sean McCutchin; great-grandchildren, Yvette Courchane, Jesse Hulleman and Logan Hulleman along with many other relatives and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Evelyn (VanBuskirk) Moore, first husband, Donald Cole, second husband, Marlin “Spook” Weinke and her son, Daniel Cole.
