Lois J. Carson

MADISON-Lois J. (Dyer) Carson “Tudy”, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in Madison.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Marion and Bernice (Gilbertson) Dyer.
She married Clayton “Pete” Carson on July 28, 1951, in Texas. Tudy devoted her entire life to her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished. She always made sure her family was taken care of before herself. She loved gardening, doing puzzles and keeping track of the annual NASCAR pool. Tudy enjoyed crocheting Barbie clothes for her grandchildren. She loved dogs, especially Pekanees and enjoyed camping on Lake George for over 35 years with her husband, Pete. Lois and Pete would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary on July 28th.
Lois is survived by her children, Neal, Dean, Karen (Tom) Carson Wagner and Gary (Mary); two grandchildren, Katie (Derek) Wagner and Jean (Brandon) Roe; five great-grandchildren, Korrin, Quentin, Kayli, Teagan and Carson; brother, Ken (Sharon) Dyer; and sister, Nata Guess.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers, Walter “Sonny” Dyer and Marion “Mert” Dyer.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 26, 2014, with the Rev. Patrick Siegler presiding. Entombment will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for all of their wonderful care.
