Pittsburgh Panthers wide receiver Jester Weah doesn’t lack confidence.

“I’m still the fastest on the team, so that’s not new,” Weah said.

The former Madison Memorial High School standout is working out at home this week. After redshirting his freshman year, Weah said he’s ready to contribute right now.

“It was hard, not going to lie. At the same time you have to be there to support your teammates, because at the end of the day everyone wants to win, especially me,” Weah said. “Get on the field and make a huge impact, and just do whatever it takes to make the team win.”

Weah is working toward a degree in finance, but his dream is to play in the NFL.

“That’s been the goal ever since I was a little kid,” Weah said.

Weah heads back to Pittsburgh next week, but he likes spending time in his hometown and taking pride in his Wisconsin roots.

“I like to remember where I came from. That’s stuck with me ever since I grew up and matured,” Weah said.
