Lindsey Vonn says this will be her last Olympics

Lindsey Vonn plans to compete in three races at what she says will be her final Olympics, according to The Associated Press.

Vonn, speaking at a news conference ahead of Friday’s opening ceremony at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, said she will compete in the downhill, the super-G and the combined, the AP reported.

The 33-year-old American skiing star missed the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi after having surgery on her right knee.

Vonn is skiing in her fourth Olympics and won gold in downhill and bronze in super-G at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

She said she decided to sit out the giant slalom in PyeongChang because her knee “is just not really in a place to do that.”

Vonn’s first event in South Korea will be the super-G, which is scheduled for Feb. 17.
