Linda Miller-Slavens

MADISON-Linda Miller-Slavens, age 49, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

She was born on December 2, 1962, in Madison, the daughter of Gerald F. and Patricia (Harrington) Miller. Linda was a 1981 graduate of West High School. She was united in marriage to Charles Slavens on June 22, 1985 at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison. Linda worked as a program assistant for the State of Wisconsin for over 30 years. She had a great love for the out of doors and especially enjoyed all of her animals.

Linda is survived by her husband Charles; a son, Eric Slavens; her parents, Gerald and Patricia Miller; sister, Jennifer Miller; brother, Jeffrey Miller; a niece, Miranda Therrian; four nephews, Ian Oakes, James Mund, Nicholas Dingman, Tyler Swanson and a great niece and nephew, Alexyss and David Mund.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and an uncle.

Memorial services will be held at the FIRST UNITARIAN SOCIETY, 900 University Bay, Madison at 4:30 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2012.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:30 PM until the time of the service at the First Unitarian Society.

Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
