Linda Mae Theisen

Linda Mae Theisen, age 62, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday, June 19 and was re-united with her sister Debbie on her birthday.

She was born September 14, 1954 in Madison to the late Willie and Donna (Brilliott) Theisen. Linda graduated from Sauk Prairie High School; class of 1972. Following High School, she worked for Mueller Sports Medicine and the State of Wisconsin before starting a 26 year career with the United Postal Service in Madison from which she retired on July 31, 2009. One of her greatest joys was watching Taylor, Haley and Brady play sports. Linda enjoyed cheering on the Packers and Badgers, playing euchre and sheepshead, ping pong and golfing. She loved the outdoors, nature, watching the eagles and pelicans, and enjoyed having Spotted Cows with friends.

Linda is survived by her sisters, Cherie Theisen of Sauk City and Dana (Brandon) Greenheck of Prairie du Sac; her special dog, Zippy; nieces and nephews, Ravin Joy (Mike) Chatfield, Cole William (Dawn Innes) Maier, Taylor, Haley and Brady Greenheck, Lori (Shawn) Stratton-Wells; great nieces and great nephew, Grace, Alisha, Chloe, Caslin, Owen, and Maddie; uncle LeRoy and cousins, Gina, Jodi and Dawn; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Stratton; and niece, Lacey Stratton.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Lake Wisconsin Country Club. Interment will be held in the St. Aloysius Cemetery at a later date.
