Linda Homburg

DEERFIELD – Linda Lou Homburg, age 70, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer and COPD. She was born on Sept. 20, 1952, in Madison, the daughter of Orville and Muriel (Snyder) Homburg.

Linda graduated from McFarland High School in 1970. After high school, Linda married Terry Midthun. They had two daughters together and later divorced. Linda was an office manager at Felly’s Flowers for several years and then moved on to Midwest Equipment Specialists, retiring in 2012.

Linda enjoyed watching TV, with Gunsmoke being one of her favorite shows. She loved playing Scrabble, birdwatching, Halloween, spending time with her dogs and having cookouts with her family. Linda was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her two daughters, Becky Johnson (Jeff Greenlee) and Laura (Josh) Copet; significant other of 20 years, Steve Lichtie; mother, Muriel Homburg; brother, Orville (Roberta) Homburg Jr.; four grandsons, Sean (Kathleen) Johnson, Jordan Porter, Ty Porter and Cohen Copet; granddaughter, Cadence Copet; and great-grandchildren, Kenzley Johnson and Cayde Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Freddie Homburg Sr.; and two brothers, Jimmy Homburg and John Homburg.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and much love to Janna Pauls, Linda’s best friend, for her loving care and kindness over the years. We greatly appreciate all you did for our mom and know she loved you dearly.
