Linda G. Russell

JANESVILLE—Linda G. Russell, age 59, of Janesville, died on Monday, June 11, 2012, at home.

She was born in Weatherford, TX on August 19, 1952, the daughter of Eugene and Louise (Wyatt) Ray and was a 1970 graduate of Poolville High School. Linda married Donald Holmes in Poolville, TX, September 5, 1970, and later married Lloyd Russell on July 22, 1989, in Milton. She worked for LeMans as a shipping clerk.

Linda enjoyed puzzle books, old movies, fishing, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and was a Nascar and Packer fan.

She is survived by her 3 children; Karen (Jasen) McKee of South Beloit, Joseph (Joseph Tomasino) Holmes of Milwaukee and Jeff (Kari) Holmes of Janesville; an “adopted son”, Luke Haseman of Janesville; 2 grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kimberly; father of her children, Donald Holmes of Janesville; 2 brothers, Gary and Donald Ray of Texas; and faithful companion, Rusty. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd Russell; and a brother, Fred.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville with a gathering for family and friends following at Tremors. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials to the family are preferred.
