Lillian Marie Mueller

Lillian Marie Mueller, age 82, passed away on April 7, 2012 from Merkel cell carcinoma. She was born May 7, 1929 in Troy Township, Sauk County, WI, a daughter of Benjamin and Gladys (Callaway) Fuchs. Lillian attended Harrisburg School, graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1947, and Sauk County Normal School in 1949. She was a teacher for four years at Fair Valley School. She was united in marriage to Raymond R. Mueller on July 22, 1950 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Black Hawk.Lillian was baptized and confirmed at the Black Hawk Church, and became a member of the Honey Creek Church after her marriage. In recent years, she attended Concordia United Methodist Church in Prairie du Sac. Lillian and Ray farmed together for more than 40 years in Honey Creek Township. Lillian enjoyed the outdoors, wildflowers, teaching children, reading, spending time with grandchildren, visiting people and helping others in whatever way she could.

Lillian is survived by six daughters: Mary (Jerry) Wilhelm, Antigo; Martha Dong, Sauk City; Wanda (Tom) Pugh, Monona; Vera (Doug) Juhlin, Roscoe, IL; Carol (Mark) Reasa, Baraboo; and April (Casey) Day, Madison.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Ben (Melissa) Wilhelm, Antigo; Becky (Ben) Stevens, Memphis, TN; Matthew Wilhelm, Madison; James Dong, Sauk City; Vadim Pugh, Monona; Kati, Liz, Amanda and Meghan Juhlin, Roscoe, IL; Timothy (Jill) Reasa, Madison; Philip and Daniel Reasa, Baraboo. Her first great grandchild will arrive in October to Ben & Melissa Wilhelm.

She is also survived by a sister, Norma (Russell) Fenske, North Freedom; two brothers, Albert Fuchs, Reedsburg; and LaVerne (Lynda) Fuchs, Janesville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents Ben and Gladys Fuchs, and sisters and brothers-in-law Priscilla Fuchs, Reuben and Esther Mueller, Ada and Gust Federman, Erhart Mueller, and Leta and Orville Ambler.

Funeral services will be held at Concordia United Methodist Church, Prairie du Sac, on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10:30am with Pastor Jeff Virchow officiating.

Friends may call at the Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Honey Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charity of your choice.
