Larry Lee Wood

Larry Lee Wood age 72, of Baraboo, Wisconsin entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.
Memorial Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the La Farge United Methodist Church in LaFarge, Wisconsin with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating. Friends may call at the church beginning at 12:00 noon on Saturday.
Larry was born Dec 27, 1940 at home on Plum Run Road in Vernon County, to Buford and Golda (Tate) Wood. He attended La Farge schools and later spent the majority of his time doing what he enjoyed, working and spending time with family. He was a truck driver for many years with Roehl Transport and earned the Driver of the Year Award and the One Million Mile Safe Driver Award and many other achievements. Larry had a strong work ethic and he excelled in all of his work experiences.
Larry was a man of very few words with a heart of gold. His heart was full of pride for his children: Sherri (John) Morris, and Tim (Rebel) Wood, of Gillette Wyo.; and Troy (Kathie) Wood, and LeAnne (Nick) Mlsna, of Cashton; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Larry is also survived by six sisters, Emma McDonald of Westby, Beatrice Wolfe of Hub City, Beverly Herrling of Baraboo, Marie (Clifford) Turner of La Farge, Mary (Don) Potter of Hillsboro, and Cindy Dunn of Hub City. He also will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Bethel Pendley, Ethel Wilson and Joyce Coppernoll; a brother, Buford Wood. Jr. and a son, Mark.
