Laila H. Grady

MADISON-Laila H. Grady, age 91, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. She was born on Sept. 29, 1921, in Zim, Minn., the daughter of Amos and Helmi Maki. Laila married John “Jack” Grady on Aug. 30, 1947, in Chicago, Ill. She retired from WPS in 1979. Laila enjoyed playing cards and was active in the Elks Club. When her husband, Jack, was alive, they enjoyed taking day drives out in the country. Most importantly, Laila loved her family and was very devoted to them.

Laila is survived by her son, Michael (Lynn) of Fitchburg; daughter, Maureen (Tom) Adams of Madison; four grandchildren, Patrick, Nicole, Erin, and Jon; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack.
