La Crosse police see uptick in THC laced candy

La Crosse police are keeping an eye out for marijuana that looks like candy.
In the past couple of months, La Crosse police have made arrests involving THC-laced gummies.
Police said the product was most likely brought in from Colorado, where marijuana is legal.
Because the product looks like candy, police worry about the substance getting in the wrong hands.
“The real concern is if children mistake these for candy and take them, what the consequences could be medically to that child,” the La Crosse police Capt. Randy Rank said.
If someone is found with marijuana gummies, he or she could be charged with possession of marijuana or intent to deliver a controlled substance.
