La Crosse man struck by car, killed while walking in rural Monroe County
SPARTA, Wis. — A La Crosse man was killed Monday after he was struck by a car while walking in rural Monroe County.
Monroe County Sheriff’s officials said Vaneng Vang, 77, was walking along State Highway 71 near Dakota Avenue just before 7:45 p.m. Monday when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Blair man. Vang died of his injuries at the scene
The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.
