Kluever, Donald R.

STOUGHTON-Donald R. Kluever, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on July 31, 1946, in Madison, the son of Roger and Allys (Ellingson) Kluever. After living in Madison for a short while the family moved to the Stoughton area, in the town of Dunn, where Don resided all his life. Don graduated from Stoughton High School in 1964. He worked for the State of Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation for 38 years, making state highway signs for the entire state, and then designing signs on the computer. He was united in marriage to the former Jane Faulkner on Aug. 27, 1988. Don and Jane were leaders in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts. Don loved to go camping with the Scouts. Together, they also enjoyed planting flowers and having a garden. Don loved to hunt and fish and to watch and feed the birds.
He is survived by his son, Roger; daughter, Tracie Kluever;step-daughter, Amanda (David) Bratland;sister, Rose Ann Kluever; nephew, Mike Jarlsberg; and many close friends and family. Don was preceded in death by his parents;wife, Jane; daughter, Jessica;and sister, Nancy.
Funeral services will be held at COVENANT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, with the Rev. Mark Petersen presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
Memorials may be made in Don’s name to Agrace HospiceCare Inc., or Covenant Lutheran Church.
