Kenosha restaurant to raise cash for Colorado victims
Employees will hold a car wash Tuesday
KENOSHA, Wis. — A Kenosha restaurant chain will be holding a fundraiser to help with the medical expenses of Colorado colleagues killed or injured in this month’s movie-theater shooting.
Carey Flanagan manages a Red Robin restaurant in Kenosha. She said 18 employees of a Red Robin in Havana, Colo., were at the “Batman” showing where a gunman opened fire, killing 12 and injuring 58.
One of those killed was Red Robin employee Alex Sullivan. Seven co-workers were injured.
Flanagan told the Kenosha News that her own employees hang out together often, and she understands how close colleagues become. So she said her employees will hold a car wash Tuesday, with the proceeds going to help with medical and funeral expenses of their Colorado counterparts.
