Kenneth Habbe

JANESVILLE/ NAPERVILLE, IL— Kenneth Habbe, age 84, formerly of Janesville, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Community Nursing and Rehab in Naperville, IL.

He was born on June 29, 1927, in Clay County, the son of Edward and Helena (Traub) Habbe. He married Joan Moriarity on September 13, 1952, in Evergreen Park, IL and she preceded him in death on July 23, 2001. Together with his wife, Kenneth owned and operated the Northern Town Motel in Janesville. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Kenneth is survived by his children: Wayne E. Habbe and Patti L. (John) Balsan both of Naperville, IL and Michael W. (Kathie) Sullivan of Shelby Township, MI; 5 grandchildren: John K., David, Mark and Jaci Balsan and Amanda Sullivan; a brother, Ray (Sue) Habbe of Effingham, IL; a sister, Joyce Wolfe of Galesburg, IL; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan; 4 brothers: Alvin, Dean, Farrell and Ronald Habbe; and 2 sisters, Doris Keller and Dorothy Siciliano.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville. Interment Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in the Chapel at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oaklawn, IL. Memorials may be made to the Janesville Madison School Breakfast Club.
