Kathryn Kubly (Hackbarth)

VERONA-Kathryn Kubly (Hackbarth) died at AgraceHospice, surrounded by her children, September 4th 2017 in Madison, WI after a long battle with cancer.
Kathy was born on May 26th, 1950 in Watertown, WI to her parents, Elmer and Lucille Hackbarth, and attended school at St. Henry’s in Watertown WI. Kathy was involved in her church, St Andrews, in Verona WI, teaching first communion for many years. Kathy loved being a grandmother and happily spoiled her grandchildren every chance she got.
Ms. Kubly was an avid traveler with a special place in her heart for the Driftwood resort in Vero Beach, FL. Kathy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. Kathy’s generous heart and quick smile will be missed the most.
Ms. Kubly is survived by her three children’s families; Ryan, Amy, Lyla, and Klara Kubly; Mara, Barry, Clayton, and Adalynn Thompson, and Jeff and Rachel Kubly; her siblings, Linda (Randy) Buss, Teresa (John) Gerloff, and John (Diane) Hackbarth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Ann Hackbarth; and a brother, David Hackbarth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at ST. ANDREW CATHOLIC CHURCH, 501 N. Main St., Verona, with Fr. John Sasse presiding. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, VERONA CHAPEL, 220 Enterprise Dr., and also from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Saturday. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ms. Kubly’s life.
