Kathryn Fola Glass

JANESVILLE— Kathryn Fola Glass, age 93, of Janesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Cedar Crest. She was born in Madison on April 5, 1919, the daughter of Raymond and Ollie (Howard) Koehn. She attended schools in Beloit. Kathryn met the love of her life, Kenneth W. Glass and they were married on June 13, 1936, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Parsonage. They were married 60 years before he preceded her in death on April 3, 1996. Kathryn was a homemaker all her life. Kathryn was a lover of nature, taking several long drives with her husband down the backroads of Southern Wisconsin. She was an avid bird watcher and corresponded with George Bakke of the Gazette with her many sightings.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Kenneth R. (Kathryn A.) Glass and Howard James (Marie) Glass both of Janesville; 7 grandchildren: Michael Glass and Laurie (Mark) Jett both of Janesville, Aaron J. Glass of Waukesha, Kristine Spalliero of Brodhead, Todd W. (Karen Camp, fiance’) Glass of Beloit, Matthew (Jessica) Glass and Ryan (Mary) Glass both of Janesville; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sister, Bette Sagen of Janesville; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at ST. PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Daniel Decker officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 at the church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
