Katherine (Kilgour) “Dutch” McCabe
Katherine (Kilgour) “Dutch” McCabe was born on October 3, 1952 and died on September 13, 2022. She grew up in SIoux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Robert and Ava Kilgour. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970 and later from the University of South Dakota School of Nursing. The majority of her professional career was spent in nursing at Mendota Mental Health Center in Madison, Wisconsin where she met her future husband, Terence McCabe, who was also employed there.
She enjoyed fishing, was an avid Wisconsin Badgers fan and loved trips to the casino.
She is survived by her brother Steve Kilgour and wife Judy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and her nephew Mike Kilgour (Veronica Walther) and niece Amy Kilgour (Jeremy Bergo), all of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is also survived by nephew Mark McCabe (Ernest Green) of Madison, Wisconsin and niece Denice (Jim) Keleny and family of Monona, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Terence and her parents, Bob and Ava Kilgour. Internment will be held at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at a later date.
