K-9 alerts officers to make drug arrest

K-9 Deputy Orlowski and his partner Mieka found methamphetamine paraphernalia in the car of Wisconsin Rapids resident Treyton Webb, age 23, Thursday, according to police.

The K-9 officers were responding to a traffic stop by Adams County sheriff’s deputies. The vehicle was stopped for improper registration, police said. Mieka alerted the officers to the smell of illegal narcotics from the vehicle.

When questioned by officers, Treyton Webb provided a false name, according to police. He also has an active arrest warrant out of Monroe County for multiple methamphetamine charges.

Webb is currently in custody in the Adams County Jail. The tentative charges he faces are possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing and bail jumping.
