Judy A. Lauer

Judy A. Lauer, age 72, of Janesville, died on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 7, 1945, in Edgerton, the daughter of Sam and Fern (Swartout) Peterson. She married Kenneth D. Lauer in Janesville on July 6, 1993, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2015. Judy retired from Alliant Energy.

Judy is survived by her 3 children: Eric Zanzinger of Janesville, Chip Zanzinger of Ohio, and Jennifer (Rodney) Ballmer of Onalaska; 3 stepchildren: Rich (Jaye) Lauer of Janesville, Jim (Lisa) Lauer of Janesville and Jason (Marti) Lauer of Milton; 4 grandchildren: Austin, Kaytlin, Ava, and Ella; 5 step grandchildren: Nick (Rachel), Lindsay (Tim), Kelsey, Emma and Dalton; 3 great grandchildren: Wyatt , Ellis and Hunter; brother, John (Teresa) Peterson of Lake Geneva; and 3 sisters: Shirley Fuchs and Sue (Dave) Tanda both of Janesville and Nancy Peterson of Milton. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017, at CENTRAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Edgerton, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the Church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
