Joseph L. Hardina

MIDDLETON-Joseph L. Hardina, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Four Winds Manor in Verona.

He was born on October 28, 1943, in Medford, the son of Genevieve Casper and Joseph F. Hardina. Joe was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dianne Kukla on October 8, 1966. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy and worked at Shopko Pharmacy for over 40 years.

In his younger years he enjoyed indoor pistol shooting, hunting and woodworking. Most recently he enjoyed ice cream treats and coffee at McDonalds and walking at the mall.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Dianne; two children, Brittany Hardina and Judd Hardina, and a sister Lorraine Johnsson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister June.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Burial will be in Middleton Junction Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Pheasant Branch Conservancy or to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. Joe was a quiet warm-hearted man with a keen sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.
