Jones a no-show for first day of Packers OTA’s
Reportedly asked for a trade
Green Bay — Packers safety Josh Jones was a no-show for the first day of OTA’s, and Packers insider Rob Demovsky reports it’s because he wants to be traded or released. Jones has been working out in Florida since the Packers first offseason program wrapped up last month.
Green Bay picked Jones in the second round of the 2017 draft, and he played in every game that season. The 24-year-old has 12 starts and one interception in two years. Packers management has made no secret of the fact that they’re trying to upgrade the defensive backfield.
The Packers signed free agent safety Adrian Amos to a four-year deal this offseason, and they drafted Maryland safety Darnell Savage in the first round of this year’s draft.
