John P. Meyers

Dr. John P. Meyers, 96, of Richland Center died Friday, December 16, 2022. John was born on November 9, 1926 in McHenry, IL and raised in Highland, WI, the 5th child of 13 born to Phillip and Agnes (Sheehan) Meyers. John enlisted in the US Army Air Corp serving in WWII. After his honorable discharge he enrolled at Palmer College and received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. John returned to Muscoda to start his practice and later moved his practice to Richland Center until his retirement. He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Benish in 1968 and she preceded him in death 2002. John married Patricia Jurack in May 2006. John had a deep faith and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He loved pheasant hunting with his German Shorthair Pointers.

John is survived by his wife Patricia;

Step-son Tony (Mary) Dobbs,

Jon Dobbs;

many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife Annie, step-son Gerald Atkinson, brothers and sisters: Kathleen Remy, Margaret Odem, Bernadette Muldowney, Lois Imhoff, Phyllis Powers, Philip Meyers, Patricia Meyers, Mildred Richgels, Arnold Meyers, and Tom Meyers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 12:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Muscoda. Burial with military graveside rites will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home in Muscoda on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the departure to the church at 11:45 AM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
