John K. Snook, age 60 of Kokomo, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital with the Love of his Life, Brenda King, by his side.

He was born on Friday, April 13, 1962, in Rockford IL. The son of Barbara Langston (Dresen) and Orval J. Snook. He attended La Follette High School in Madison WI. John met Brenda (“Bud” as he called her) on February 24th, 2011. They resided in Madison WI until May of 2018 before moving to Kokomo, Indiana where Brenda is from.

John was a very caring man who loved Brenda and his family more than anything. He was the “glue” that kept everyone communicating. John was the kind of man who spoke his mind and you always knew where you stood with him. If he loved you, he loved you deeply and would protect you at any cost. John had a HUGE heart and loved to help others. He had a gigantic garden that he was proud of and made sure he kept his neighbors, friends and family stocked with vegetables and his amazing salsa. He loved to cook, and provided many meals that he grilled and smoked including his Thanksgiving Turkey for family and friends.

John loved music and attending concerts with his friends. He loved to fish in the sun, rain and on the ice. The weather did not matter as long as he got to fish. John was a very good pool and dart player. He played on Leagues for years, winning Championships and State Tournaments. He was an avid Wisconsin Sports fan. John had a standing Packer and Badger game day get-together every game day for anyone who wanted to come watch the game on his “Big TV” John was a member of Packer Backers in Madison and attended as many games as he could.

In John’s younger years he enjoyed softball and weight lifting. Riding his Harley until he no longer could. Later in life, you would find him running around in a PT Cruiser and still calling himself “A Harley Man” If anyone went on vacation, he asked for a Harley shirt to be brought back for him. He has quite the collection! John’s kindness went out to anyone that wanted to celebrate his favorite holiday with him, the 4th Of July. It was a family event that he had at his home in Token Creek every year. His event included a band, food, swimming and fireworks. He thought of everything and everyone, including the kids.
