John G. Monat

John G. Monat, age 47, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at home after 22 years of fighting mental illness and is now in God’s loving hands.

He was born in Janesville on Nov. 17, 1969, the son of Ron and Peggy (Healy) Monat. He graduated from Craig High School in 1988, and served in the US Army National Guard from 1987 to 1993. John attended Marion Military Institute in Marion, AL. He had been employed by Kennedy & Associates, Rockford Health, Rockford Memorial Hospital and Lear Seating, Janesville.

John is survived by his 2 daughters, Caleise of Madison and Angelica of Beloit; parents, Ron and Peggy Monat of The Villages, FL; sister, Wendy (Steve) Fox of Janesville; and many other extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
