John A. Moran

On Monday, July 17, 2017, we lost a very special person, John A. Moran, after his brave and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on January 17, 1959 to John and Lucille Moran. He was born and raised in DeForest. As we often times joked “that he has never lived on the other side of the railroad tracks”. He was a very quiet person until you got to know him, but once he got to know you, he was your friend for life. He would oftentimes have a quick sense of humor and would have everyone cracking up. He had an absolute heart of gold and would do anything for you.
John is survived by his loving wife of 24 years and soul mate, Paula (Olson) Moran and his best four legged paw friend, Pooh. Also surviving him are his sisters, Patricia (John) Ray, Rhonda (Jerry Wenger) Moran and Colleen (Thomas) Hall; his sisters-in-law, Donna (Patrick) Slaney, Nancy Olson, Colleen (Rodney) Mueller; and his very special nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lynne Parks; and father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Genevieve Olson.
Memorials would be appreciated to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., or the Dane County Humane Society.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rude’s Lanes, 210 E. Holum St., DeForest.
