Joan Strzyzykowski

Joan Strzyzykowski, age 76, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago, IL on Nov. 12, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Marion (Wolski) Multon. Joan married Joseph Strzyzykowski in Chicago on Dec. 23, 1954, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2006. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church, and had been employed by the Rock County Job Service which was her favorite job. Joan was very religious and dearly loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her 4 children: Cynthia (John) Shickles of Beloit, Susan (Jack) Combs of Edgerton, Joseph (Alicia) Strzyzykowski of Janesville and Edward Strzyzykowski of Janesville; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Ray Multon of Chicago; nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 5 siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. John Auby officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
