Joan Marie Borland
Joan Marie (Coy) Borland, age 82, of Hub City passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at home.
Joan was born July 28, 1940, to Raymond & Josephine (Rego) Frymark in Milwaukee, then moved to Hub City to be raised by her grandparents Ben & Josie Rego.
Joan married Bernard Coy May 7, 1960, they were married for 43 years and together had 7 kids. Joan and her late husband had a farm on Soules Creek where the kids were raised. They also owned Barney & Joan’s Bar in Hub City. Joan worked at Myers Supper Club until they closed and then Allen Bradley until she retired after many years.
In 2007, Joan met Buddy Borland and were married October 4, 2008, and resided in Hub City with their beloved dog Shorty. Together Buddy and Joan loved traveling to Arizona in the motorhome, they also enjoyed playing euchre and going out to listen to music and dance. Joan also loved to be surrounded by friends and family or just hanging out watching softball games.
Joan is survived by her husband Buddy Borland of Hub City; her children Roxanne Hobbs of Sextonville, Sharon (Donnie) Markin of Richland Center, Karen Coy of Carlsbad, CA, Carmela (Greg) Koch of Sauk City and Richard Coy of Orion; 7 grandchildren: Stacy, Dennis, Danny, Shannon, April, Andy and Kayla; 10 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; along with 4 stepchildren; Bryant, Bruce, Brenda, Brett; 2 sisters Jeanie Wells and Vicki (Mike) Krause; 2 brothers Benny and Steven Frymark; sister-in-law Shirley Coy; special sister Marilyn Meeker and several nieces and nephews.
Joan is preceded in death by her late husband Bernard Coy, 2 sons Virgil Coy and Bernard “Alan” Coy, son-in-law Rick Hobbs, her parents and 2 brothers David and Mike Frymark, brother-in-law Conrad Wells and Kenneth Coy, sister-in-law: Pauline Frymark.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 12:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Melancthon Creek at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM. A livestream of the service can be viewed at the Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service website. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
